Entrepreneurship XXI | Open applications
The measure aims to financially assist in the creation of enterprises and self-employment, vocational training, mentoring and consultancy specialised in the area of entrepreneurship.
Applications are open for Entrepreneurship XXI, the measure that supports all people enrolled in the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) who want to create their own business. Individuals submitting projects from private profit-making entities, cooperatives or self-employed individuals with entrepreneurial or professional incomes may apply for this support. The support provided by the State will be paid twice and is 85%, 40% of which is a non-repayable grant and the remaining 45% on an interest-free loan. The remaining 15% is equity. There may be an increase in the amount funded of:
- 15%, where the project is promoted by a gender under-represented person in the profession;
- 25%, when the project is located in the interior of the country;
- 15 % in the case of recognised innovative projects;
- 2,5 % per job created for open-ended contracts and filled by unemployed persons registered with the IEFP, up to 12 jobs created;
- 2.5%, per job created for employment contracts of indefinite duration for persons with qualifications higher than the 12th year, or 5% for doctorates with a maximum increase of 15%.
The measure Entrepreneur XXI is implemented by the IEFP and Startup Portugal.
