ACT strengthens inspection body
with 58 new labour inspectors
The Authority for Working Conditions (ACT) has welcomed 58 new labour inspectors, who are starting their work across the country from now on.
These inspectors are trained in several areas, namely Law, Chemistry, Electricity, Civil Construction, Metallurgy, Agricultural Production, Extractive Industry and Economy.
On July 26, these 58 new inspectors were welcomed in a session attended by the Secretary of State for Labor, Miguel Fontes, and the Inspector General of ACT, Maria Fernanda Campos. In the occasion also participated Milena Rouxinol, Assistant Professor of the School of Porto of the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University, with a conference on the theme "What when the employer is an algorithm? Some problems and reflections on artificial intelligence in industrial relations."
