Annual Meeting of the National Financial Training Plan
Chaired by Mr Mário Centeno, Governor of the Bank of Portugal
On 16 December, the annual meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the National Financial Training Plan (PNFF) took place at the headquarters of Banco de Portugal in Lisbon. The meeting was chaired by the Governor of the Bank of Portugal, Mário Centeno.
Members of the National Council of Financial Supervisors, which includes Banco de Portugal, the ASF (Authority for the Supervision of Insurance and Pension Funds) and the CMVM (Securities Market Commission), as well as representatives of the PNFF’s partner entities participated. The General Secretariat of the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security (MTSSS), the project partner, was represented by the Secretary-General, Maria João Lourenço.
The meeting served to assess the financial training initiatives carried out in 2024 and to present the 2025 business plan. The importance of continuing to identify the training needs of the population and to measure the impact of the financial education and training actions already undertaken was also underlined.
The General Secretariat of the MTSSS reaffirms its commitment to this project, which is essential to strengthen financial literacy and empower the people who serve the mission of this Ministry.
