Awards awarded by Santa Casa once again distinguish personalities who stood out in support of the elderly and progress in the area of health. Applications run until March 15.
Applications are open for the Nunes Correa Verdades de Faria Awards promoted by Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa. The interested parties can, until March 15, 2022, compete for these awards, which intend to reward people of any nationality who, in Portugal, have contributed for their effort, work or studies for each of the following areas:
1) caring and caring for the unprotected elderly;
2) medical progress in its application to the elderly;
3) progress in the treatment of heart disease.

Applications to the Nunes Correa Verdades de Faria Awards will be evaluated by a jury composed of personalities of recognized merit in the field of social and health, chaired by the provider of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa.
In 1974, Enrique Mantero Belard left a significant part of his assets to Misericórdia de Lisboa with the obligation to award three annual monetary prizes. Born in 1903, Enrique Mantero Belard is recognized as one of the last great Portuguese benefactors. He was married to D. Gertrudes Eduarda Truths of Faria, a woman particularly attentive to artists, elderly and unprotected.
