To mark the National Social Security Day, and deepening the digitalisation strategy in this area, the new Social Security Portal is launched, which is available at the same address as hitherto. www.seg-social.pt. The new Portal has a simpler organization and user friendly, adapted to the time we live in, and characterized by ease of access and simplicity, starting to provide content in a user-centered approach, with creativity and innovation in usability and design to meet the needs of citizens and employers, deepening the commitment to modernization and digitalisation of Social Security. This is a fully responsive Portal, adapted to mobile devices, and meets all accessibility standards, to ensure access and inclusion for all citizens. On the other hand, the launch of the new Portal has also increased security. It is also now possible to schedule, through the SIGA service, service through videoconference, which until now was only available after contact with the Social Security Line (300 502 502). A new platform for the dissemination of statistics is also launched, which presents information in an interactive way through Business Intelligence. The information becomes available through tables and allows a simpler knowledge and reading of the main indicators of the Social Security system, such as social benefits. This new platform, which implements the Simplex ‘Stat Segurança Social’ measure, also provides information on the remuneration and declared contributions of dependent and self-employed workers, and it is still possible to analyse data by downloading the respective files. Some methodological changes have been introduced. According to the Secretary of State for Social Security, Gabriel Bastos, "the simplification and modernization of Social Security is included in the Simplex program and deepens the digital transition strategy of Social Security, which allows to enhance access and knowledge of the system to all citizens and thus generate greater trust in the services provided. We will continue to work towards a fairer, simpler, agile and more transparent Social Security".
