National campaign to prevent violence in the life cycle
‘No point!’ – National Campaign to Prevent Violence in the Life Cycle, an initiative of the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Youth (CNPDPCJ), the Directorate-General for School Establishments (DGEstE) and the Executive Directorate of the National Health Service (DE-SNS).
Living in environments of violence, whatever they may be, can leave deep marks for life, sometimes with a tragic outcome; It is a hard suffering to overcome and, contrary to what we often think, it does not happen only to others: It can be for each one of us or who is right next to us: family, friends, co-workers. Therefore, it is important to realize that this is a reality transversal to all socio-economic and cultural strata. It is essential to break the myth that violence, episodic or persistent, affects only the most unprotected and vulnerable people or families. This does not correspond to reality, it happens in all social contexts.
“It is not accepted, point!” is a warning to mobilise and raise awareness in society, so that we are all attentive and proactive, in particular by communicating practices or indications that someone around us is being the victim of any type of violence: physical, psychological, sexual or other. Silence is always the worst attitude and only favors the aggressors!
Supporting and disseminating this campaign is an act of citizenship that should not leave anyone indifferent!
