Institute of Social Security and Pharmacies together in the safe return of children to school activities
The measure will cover 35,000 employees across the country.
The Social Security Institute (ISS) is promoting mass testing of all workers in nurseries, preschools, nannies and leisure centres, with the support of the national network of pharmacies. The initiative started on 10 January, with the aim of preventing COVID-19 infections and ensuring the best start-up safety conditions after the Christmas holidays.
The measure will cover 35,000 employees across the country and aims to prevent outbreaks in schools dedicated to childhood.
The collaboration protocol signed between the ISS and the ANF ensures that pharmacies adhering to the agreement with the National Health Service participate in the TRAg COVID-19 service with nursery and pre-school workers, nannies and leisure centres throughout the national territory.
The test runs until 21 January.
