IEFP, as a public employment service, participates in the national effort to welcome and assist the citizens of Ukraine, who are leaving their country for reasons of armed and humanitarian conflict, in their social and professional integration. Responding to the mobilization and willingness to help of national companies, IEFP is bringing together the intentions of employers to hire these citizens, through a specific form integrated in the IEFP portal, in https://www.iefp.pt/portugal-for-ukraine.

These job opportunities are disseminated to Ukrainian citizens in various ways, including through collaboration with the platform WeHelpUkraine.org.

The IEFP also integrates the care teams of Ukrainian citizens who have already applied for protection from Portugal, which operate in the National Migrant Support Centres (CNAIM) of Beja, Faro, Lisbon and Porto, informing these citizens of the opportunities and support available in terms of employment and vocational training.

Considering that the social and professional integration of these citizens goes largely through the learning of the Portuguese language, it is important to highlight the role of IEFP in the organization and conduction of courses in Portuguese Language of Reception.
