Government attributes biggest increase ever to the National Network of Integrated Continuing Care
Extraordinary increase foreseen in the Commitment for Cooperation for the Social and Solidarity Sector for the Biennium 2021-2022
The Government has allocated the largest increase ever to the financing of the National Network of Integrated Continuing Care (RNCCI). The Ordinance published on 8 July 2021 stipulates an extraordinary increase of 6% in the prices applicable to long-term units and maintenance (ULDM), with the aim of adjusting the operating costs of this response.
This extraordinary increase is provided for in the Commitment for Cooperation for the Social and Solidarity Sector for the 2021-2022 Biennium, and allows for the continuation of the commitment to strengthen the RNCCI, which is included in the Programme of the XXII Constitutional Government, the State Budget for 2021 and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
The National Network of Integrated Continuing Care (RNCCI) ensures the provision of health care and social support to people in a situation of dependence, according to various types of responses adapted to the care needs of citizens, promoting their autonomy and improving their functionality.
The expansion and improvement of the RNCCI is one of the priorities of the Government.
