Today, the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality launches the RIIG Platform, the Gender Equality Indicators Network, with SAMA/ESF co-funding.

This platform is the result of a Simplex project, which makes it easier and more accessible to send mandatory communications (legally provided for) to the IGC, as well as others that may be considered of importance, with a view to integrating aggregated data to produce added value information, in the areas of promoting citizenship and gender equality, combating discrimination, violence against women and domestic violence and trafficking in human beings.

The RIIG is at the service of all the entities with which the IGC coordinates, in the exercise of its powers to coordinate, implement and monitor public equality policies, namely ministries, local authorities, public companies, universities, NGOs, third-sector entities, women’s associations and the entities of the National Network for Support to Victims of Domestic Violence and the Network for Support and Protection of Victims of Trafficking.

The data contained in the GIR are not publicly available. Each entity has an individual access profile and only views its own data. All entities registered in the RIIG will have access to the global analyses of indicators that may be produced.
