12th Academy on Social and Solidarity Economy

The ILO and CASES have established a partnership for the 12th edition of the ILO Academy on Social and Solidarity Economy. The Academy will run from 15 to 26 November and will give a special focus to the role of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) in the context of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and in the face of the challenges and opportunities posed by the rapidly changing world of work.

The ILO Academy of Social and Solidarity Economy is an interactive and multidisciplinary forum where practitioners, researchers and policymakers can share innovative ideas and real-life experiences.

The main objective of this edition of the Academy is to provide a better understanding of the concept of Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS) and its contribution to the creation of decent work. It is aimed at ILO tripartite members, policy makers involved in ESS, practitioners from partner development agencies and international organisations, ESS entrepreneurs and practitioners, the academic community and researchers.

The course will take place through virtual sessions (webinars) held on the online platform of the International Training Centre of the ILO - ITCILO e-Campus, in Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish.
